Krista van Dijk started making bags in Friesland after finishing her studies at the Utrecht School of the Arts. According to Krista's design philosophy, the bags should form a whole, so that Krista's bags can actually be used as products. This can be seen, for example, in the connection of the shoulder strap to the bag, which is incorporated into the whole of the bag design. Krista's bag designs are inspired by different places or countries in the world, as can be seen in the bags: Finland, Helsinki, Lahti and Peru. By using a light lining in the Krista's bag designs, it is possible to find things more easily in the bag. This is also achieved by the many compartments.
