Ilse Jacobsen Softshell Rain Jacket RAIN37-236 Cashew

This brown 3/4 softshell jacket with raglan sleeves has a comfortable fit and slightly fitted waist, creating a feminine silhouette. The breathable and water repellent material ensures that you can move freely in the rain without perspiring. The jacket has a soft fleece lining and a waterproof 2-way zip that can be opened from both the top and bottom; ideal when cycling. The ecorepel® coating creates an invisible shield that protects you from water and dirt. The jacket has a drawstring hood, two zip-pockets on the front and one on the upper left arm.

This softshell jacket is treated with a coating of Teflon by Dupont™ that makes the jacket water repellent. Together with the functional TPU membrane, this jacket has become an icon in the Ilse Jacobsen Hornbæk collection. The fabric has a unique cylindrical pattern and has a soft fleece lining that provides comfort and warmth.

Elegant feminine lines adorn the model whose seams are always fully taped and the fabric is Oeko-Tex 100 certified.

Care instructions
The softshell mackintoshes with ecorepel® can be washed in the washing machine without any problems. The coating can withstand at least 30 washes at 30 °C. Even after intensive use and frequent washing. It is important to dry the jacket in the dryer after washing so that the coating is reactivated. This eliminates the need for waterproofing chemicals.

Waterproof zips
Ilse Jacobsen only works with the best developed technologies, also when it comes to zips. Our jackets are equipped with high-quality 2-way YKK Aqua Guard zips that are taped on the inside and finished with water-repellent rubber on the outside. This ensures that no water or wind can get inside. 

Measuring waterproofness
The jackets are tested for waterproofness in a laboratory. The amount of water pressure the fabric can withstand before moisture leaks through determines its waterproofness. The water-repellent softshell mackintoshes can withstand 5000 mm water per square centimetre. This is supported by the hand-taped seams on the inside, which close stitching holes.

Breathability
The degree to which a fabric is breathable is assessed by the amount of moisture that passes through one square metre of fabric over a 24-hour period. This is tested in the same way as waterproofing in a laboratory. Our softshell fabrics evaporate 3000 grams of moisture per square metre in 24 hours; this shows that Ilse Jacobsen jackets are well breathable.
