Material:
The button-down dress is sewn in a beautiful linen quality, woven in beautiful stripes. The colour and stripe combination was developed and designed especially for McVERDI. When Italian textile designers develop for McVerdi, they often receive colour samples woven into a large piece of fabric. Usually, their intention is to choose one or two different stripes from this "blanket" to proceed with. But often they fall in love with the complete expression. In the combination of many colours and stripes, creating a colour story that ties the collection together. Originally, this piece of fabric was just an example of different stripes that could be made from the yarn they desired. But as so often happens, they fell in love with the whole colour swatch and went ahead with two versions with multiple stripes - a green/blue story and a pink/red/orange story. Moreover, the fabric is woven from coloured yarns, so each stripe is mottled and the fabric has a beautiful play of colours. The fabric is 100% linen and has the well-known and special linen texture. Linen feels luxurious, it drapes beautifully and it is lovely to wear when it is warm. Linen wrinkles and you have to get used to that or learn to love it. It's part of linen's natural "behaviour" and expression. You can certainly iron linen for a crisp look, but we actually recommend letting linen be linen and instead accept the creases and let the fabric do its job. Wash your shirt carefully in the washing machine and let it dry on a hanger. The fabric is produced in Italy, while the garment is sewn in Bulgaria.​​​​​​​
