This tableware set from Marimekko is made of white ceramic. Designed especially for Marimekko by Sami Ruotsalainen. This tableware set is perfect for combining with the different designs and expanding each time. This small rectangular plate is made of white stoneware and has the Unikko pattern in red. Marimekko's famous poppy pattern Unikko was created in 1964 at a time when the design house's collections contained mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to make something interesting out of this organic theme and designed a whole range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower stands for creativity. It is dishwasher-, microwave- and freezer-safe; the glazed colours and the pattern remain vivid.
