This object is handmade from a hard natural stone. The most commonly used stone types are serpentine in brown, green and black. The hardness also increases in this order. Opalstone, Fruit serpentine, Cobaltstone and Springstone are also commonly used stone types that are medium-hard to hard.

The artist puts his own style and vision into the sculpture. The handwork, the artist's style, the character of the stone and the diversity of colours make each sculpture unique. The stone is worked with hammers, chisels, rasps and files. Finally, the sculpture is polished and, under heating, a wax layer is applied. The wax layer enhances the stone's markings, but it is also vulnerable.

We advise you to handle the sculpture with care, as sharp objects can scratch and damage the wax layer, revealing the original colour of the stone. Should the sculpture become dull over time, you can polish it with clear wax. Stone is a natural product in which irregularities occur.
