With a history of more than 100 years, the Danish brand Georg Jensen stands for high quality craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic design, producing lifestyle products ranging from hollyware to watches, jewellery and products for the home. Georg Jensen's own philosophy was to create democratic designs that possessed both functionality and beauty. Georg Jensen's craft skills and artistic talent, combined with its ongoing ability to identify and support design talent, was the basis on which Georg Jensen began in Copenhagen in 1904. Georg Jensen's style embraced the Art Nouveau lines of the day, but injected them with a distinctive strength that still resonates today. Serene flowing forms are enriched by exquisitely sculpted decoration and his stylised bouquets of flowers and lush bunches of grapes reflect his sensual delight in nature. Our main task is to take the ideas and principles of the master himself and translate them into today's design.
