Discover the Ann-Mari cardigan – a long knitted jacket inspired by Norwegian folklore. The Ann-Mari cardigan has a versatile and relaxed fit, adorned with a floral geometric pattern, pockets, and a collar. The elegant button at the collar allows you to wear it open or closed, making it perfect for both casual and formal occasions. Named after one of our remarkable linkers.

Since the early 2000s, Oleana has been using its own Oleana fibre blend that perfectly suits its production and its consumers. It consists of 25% silk and 75% wool, spun exclusively for Oleana in Italy. The combination of soft merino wool and smooth silk creates a very light and tactile material. Breathable and tempered, it feels on your skin like a hug from your newest love.
For trimmings and details, they try to use natural materials from European suppliers. Buttons we mainly buy from Beads and buttons, a German supplier that specialises in casting glass buttons. And our newest addition to the button family - JIM KNOPF, supplies us with buttons made of German wood and walnut.

Oleana was founded in 1992 in response to other textile mills in Norway outsourcing their production abroad. Our protest against mass production and cheap labour made us who we are today - determined to show that it is possible to make quality knitwear locally, under good working conditions and always with a clear mission to reduce our ecological footprint. Changing the game from the inside out, with patience and quality at every step of the process.

Every Oleana garment is knitted, assembled, sewn, pressed, quality-controlled and packaged in the factory. This means we have full control over the production processes and conditions in which our products are made.

Transparency is important, which is why our factory is always open to visitors. Sharing our knowledge about textiles and production, creating and learning together, creates a more sustainable way of thinking about the future of fashion.
